Mildred “Millie” Bertha Schuldt (Nee Gettleman), age 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 5, 2016. She was born to Henry and Mary (Nee Dhein) Gettleman on June 12, 1917 in Dheinsville, WI. She married the love of her life, Harold Schuldt on April 11, 1942 who preceded her in death on January 1, 1966.
After their marriage they resided in Germantown in the house Harold built for Millie. Together they had 6 children and she put all of her love into her growing family. She loved nature, birds, reading, crocheting and her flower garden. She was a great cook and proud of her family history. Millie enjoyed traveling up North to Rhinelander, out West, Florida, New York, Germany and Canada.
Before marriage she worked at Rockfield Canning Co. During the war she worked at West Bend Company and finally retired from Mallard Coach. She was also a lifetime member of the Germantown Historical Society.
Millie is survived by her children, Wayne (Lois) Schuldt of Plymouth, Lee (Mary Dhein) Schuldt of Germantown, Kay Lemke, William (Christine) Schuldt, Julie Schuldt and June Keller of West Bend; grandchildren, Kevin Schuldt (special friend Teri) Wendy (Brian) Mc Knight, Jeff (fiancé Sarah) Dhein-Schuldt, Jon Dhein-Schuldt, Douglas (Angela) Lemke, Ericka (Willie) Watry, Carrie Schuldt, Adam (Heidi) Schuldt, Jacob (Heather) Keller, Jerrod (Amanda) Keller; 10 ½ great-grandchildren; step grandchildren, Susan (John) Berenz, Dale (Jeannette) Lindner, Sarah (Kyle) Mauk, Nancy (Mark) Robison and Joyce (Steve) Osieczanek; 10 step great-grandchildren; 10 step great-great grandchildren; 1 step great-great-great grandson; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Harold Gettleman, sisters-in-law, Sylvia, Hilda, Margaret and Viola; brothers-in-law, Clarence, Albert, Jim and Walter; stepson Mark Lindner.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00PM on Monday, June 13, 2016 at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI). Visitation will be the same day from 3:00PM until the time of service. Private family interment at Washington County Memorial Park.
