Taxpayers in the Slinger School District have approved spending about $42 million as a pair of referendums passed in Tuesday’s election.
Slinger School District Referendum 1
Shall the School District be authorized to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $32,400,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of school building maintenance, updates and programming improvements for District buildings consisting of additions for secure main entrances, classroom space, restrooms and concession space; a gymnasium, HVAC uupgrades and improvements, electrical and lighting system and fire alarm system upgrades and improvements; classroom, lab, and technology education and engineering program remodeling and renovation; roof, flooring, door and bleacher replacement; parking lot expansion and traffic safety improvements; and acquiring furnishings, fixtures and equipment?
Slinger School District Referendum 2
Shall the School District be authorized to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,880,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of constructing a new auditorium at the High School and making improvements that allow for dedicated athletic spaces at the High School?
