West Bend police were also called about the effects of rain at the construction site on Seventh Avenue and Hickory Street.

“It’s normal culvert construction” according to local handyman Keith Keehn.  Police put yellow tape around the sites after several neighbors called about the issue.

There was also a reported water rescue on the Milwaukee River near the Eisenbahn Trail just south of Water Street and Veterans Avenue as a woman and a child were kayaking and got into trouble in the fast-moving water.

The pair were rescued.
