The project has been a bit slow to get off the ground but it looks like work is starting this week on the old BP on S. Main Street in West Bend.
Over the past few days orange cones have been placed by power lines and underground pipes along the sidewalk in front of the business and an excavator is waiting to be moved into action in front of the pumps.
The street sign has gone dark as construction is set to get underway. Plans for the gas station and convenience store call for reconfiguring the lot, razing the building, replacing the existing canopy and pumps, building a new convenience store and drive-thru and adding a total of 29 parking stalls.
The former Clothes Clinic next door will also be razed.
