September 2, 2025 – West Bend, WI – A new month brings another notice of a locally owned business closing in West Bend, Wi. The note below from Mark Ramsey at Pedal Moraine Cycle & Fitness, 1421 S. Main Street, and please help wish him well on his next adventure.

Hey all –
Pedal Moraine will be shutting down at the end of September 2025. It’s not a decision that I’ve come to easily, but it’s time.
Thank you to all of you that have been along for the ride over the years. My family, my friends, all of you that worked with me at the shop, and all of my customers – it’s because of you that I’ve been able to live out a dream I didn’t really know I had until I was living it.
That I have been able to share my love for bikes and all that they are with all of you for the past 23 years is something that I appreciate more than I can express. Thank you for your support, thank you for your friendship, but mostly, thank you the opportunity to have been a part of helping you Enjoy the Ride.
Our last day at the shop will be Sept 30. Until then, we’ll be having a sale to reduce our inventory – details on that will follow.
It’s been a great ride.
Thank you.
— Mark
Pedal Moraine Cycle and Fitness has been serving West Bend and surrounding area since 1991. Started by Russ Wanta, the Ramsey family has been sharing their passion for bikes with customers, cyclists and friends since 1999.
The closure follows a growing list of other local businesses that are shuttering their doors including Riverside Brewery, Applebees, Walsh’s Auto Professionals 2120 W. Washington Street, WB Pilot & Finery at 101 S. Sixth Avenue, and if the plan commission approves Culver’s on S. Main Street watch for VisionWorks and Omicron to follow suit.
