Mrs. Sarah Mayer will be leaving Kettle Moraine Lutheran at the end of this school year. We are thankful for the 13 years of service that Mrs. Mayer has offered to our KML federation through our KMLES Band Program as well as our high school band and other courses. She has certainly been a blessing to many students. Please keep her in your prayers as she moves on to her next step in service to the Lord, and pray for KML as we call a replacement for Mrs. Mayer.

Below is Mrs. Mayer’s letter to the federation:

In Colossians, Paul writes, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV)

During my 13 years of service at KML, I have had the privilege, responsibility, and opportunity to teach young Christians to serve their Lord with the gifts they have been given. During those years, my responsibilities as a teacher have grown, as have my obligations as a wife and mother.

My passion for music and ministry remains strong, but maintaining a healthy balance between my personal, family, and professional responsibilities has become difficult; with a heavy heart, therefore, I am resigning my call at KML, effective June 30, 2016.

It has been a wonderful experience to serve among such dedicated faculty and staff during my time here, and I am and will always be thankful for the experiences and opportunities I’ve been given. I trust that the Lord will provide a faithful servant to continue the tradition of training the next generation of musicians in God’s service at KML, just as I trust he will provide me a new way to use my gifts to serve him. May God continue to bless the ministry of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School!

In Christ’s service,
Sarah Mayer
