Washington Co., WI – The Slinger Kiwanis n’ Cops n’ Kids program held its second annual event this month.

Four law enforcement officers stopped by Slinger Middle School to visit students attending the Slinger School District’s Summer School Program. The officers took time out of their day to read to the students, share about their role in the community, and let students check out their squad cars.
Four officers in attendance were:
- Lt. Gullickson (Slinger PD)
- Lt. Fristed (Jackson PD)
- Deputy McCardle (Washington County SO)
- Trooper Middelstadt (State Patrol)
“We did a similar event in winter with officers doing a reading session via Zoom with students all across the district,” said Joel Dziedzic, Addison Elementary School Principal, “We hope to continue to do similar events.”
The Kiwanis ‘n Cops ‘n Kids mission is to promote children’s literacy and community trust in law enforcement.
