Slinger High School announces National Merit Semifinalists | By Superintendent Jim Curler

Slinger, WI – Slinger High School, 207 Polk Street, Slinger, WI, announces Eadrick Lohr-Kougl and Keegan Broman are 2 of 16,000 seniors in the nation named National Merit Semifinalists. This honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.

About 95 percent of the semifinalists are expected to attain finalist standing, and approximately half of the finalists will win a scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
