VIDEO | Plan to see The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon at Slinger High School | By Ava Schroeter

Slinger, Wi – Welcome to the Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. The fairy tale production compiles all 209 Brothers Grimm stories into one fast-paced, crazy show. This incredibly funny show was written in 2007 by Don Zolidis and has been performed by many theater productions since.

The show brings a modern twist to classic tales many people all over the world have grown up with. From sassy princesses, longing (awkward) princes, talking fish, grumpy crabs and bad beef catering. The show appeals to all ages, just get ready for some crowd interactions and crazy plot twists.

This spectacle of a show contains 33 extraordinarily talented actors and 7 hardworking dedicated stage crew members. Ages in the cast and crew range from freshman to senior.

The cast started rehearsing in early February and has been working vigorously ever since perfecting their odd-and-tedious lines and movements.

The crew and set building is run by Sarah and Don. They both have put so much time and effort into perfecting this set and are such gems to work with.

The crew has been working on the set since early March and continue to work until late at night to help bring Sarah and Don’s visions to life.

Slinger High School’s production of this show would be nothing without the incredible Director Nicholas Brettingen. He brought the spring play to Slinger in 2023 with the first show Axe of Murder.

Ever since, the spring play has been something for people to look forward to after a long winter.
