Feb. 4, 2018 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – Snow-covered roads contributed to a third fatal crash in Fond du Lac County on Saturday night just before 6 p.m. in the Town of Rosendale.
A westbound vehicle crossed over the center line on Highway 23 near County Highway M and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on.
Sheriff’s officials say the driver of the westbound vehicle, a 34-year-old Lyndon Station man, was taken to the Ripon Medical Center and later was transferred to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah where he died.
The 22-year-old Mt.Calvary man driving the eastbound vehicle and the 22-year-old Evergreen Park, Illinois woman who was his passenger were both taken to Ripon Medical Center where they were treated for their injuries and released.
The Sheriff’s Department has released the names of those involved in a double-fatal two-vehicle accident on State Highway 49 south of Whooley Road that happened just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Fifty-six-year-old Daniel Emmer and his passenger 27-year-old Brian Emmer were in a southbound vehicle that crossed over the center line and struck a northbound vehicle. Both died at the scene.
Forty-three-year-old Amy Huenink of Brandon was driving the northbound vehicle. She and her passenger, 14-year-old Amy Huenink, were taken to St. Agnes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
