West Bend, WI – A traffic alert regarding the reconstruction of Fifth Avenue between Hawthorn Drive and Decorah Road, will require closing Fifth Avenue to through traffic for the entire length of the project (approximately until the end of September), but also temporary closures of Decorah Road and Hawthorn Drive from Sixth Avenue to Main Street.
Decorah Road and Hawthorn Drive will not be closed at the same time, in order to provide at least one nearby route for vehicles to go around the project area. The general public should remain aware of traffic pattern changes during this reconstruction.
Both Decorah Road and Hawthorn Drive are open to through traffic today, April 14, 2022.
