VIDEO | Paying it forward at Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County

January 19, 2020 – Washington Co., WI –  A regular Sunday series sponsored by Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County a local organization that connects seniors with caring volunteers.

The volunteers and board members at Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County are extremely appreciative of all the people who have helped over the years including Mike Falkner, who was inspired to join Interfaith as a driver for needy senior citizens in the community.

Mike said he gets more out of the time he spends with seniors than they do.   “After hearing about Interfaith during the annual fundraiser I stopped by the office, filled out the forms and I’ve been driving ever since,” he said.

Everyone involved in Interfaith Caregivers is doing their part in helping make the life of area senior citizens that much easier.

“It’s a very rewarding opportunity in both directions,” he said. “I look forward to every Tuesday and I’ve developed such a nice relationship with the people I’m working with.”

Reminder: Interfaith is having its Annual Chili Cook-Off on Tuesday, January 21. If you are interested in bringing in some chili for volunteers to vote on – or coming in and trying the chili. Please contact [email protected] or 262-649-9768.
