June 8, 2020 – West Bend, WI – A unique experience Sunday evening as a small hometown band, Big Cedar Bluegrass, ambled onto the driveway in West Bend. They flipped on a mic, speakers and rose up in song. Neighbors gathered. Sat in simple lawn chairs and enjoyed the impromptu concert as the sun set in the western sky.
Below is a note from Big Cedar’s Marty Burch:
Music in the Driveway – We had fun playing in our driveway last week and since the weather is supposed to be nice – we are going to to it again. Jim and I have been learning new songs and playing music every day. so, Sunday, June 7 at about 6:30 p.m. we are going to set up a speaker and play for an hour in our driveway.
If anyone cares to come and listen – bring lawn chairs – if you can be socially aware and seat yourselves apart from others, you are welcome.
There is some shade at that time of day, so be aware of that. You can’t use our restroom, though there is a restroom in the park across the street. No refreshments, no charge, it’s just some music. If you wish to come, please email me at mdrbears@aol.com for the address and to let me know.
Big Cedar is still scheduled to play in Waupun on July 9, and in Wyocena on July 19. Click HERE for more information.
