Slinger, Wi – What better way to test the new facilities at The Kettle Recreation Center and Jugs Pub & Grill in Slinger, Wi, than host your grandchild’s birthday party. Business owners Steve Kearns and Jason Jug tested out the new bowling equipment and the kitchen as family and friends gathered for a private event.
The most noticeable change at the bowling alley is the LED backscreen which is 7-and-a-half feet high and 65-feet long. The digital display offers a huge variety of games, different atmospheres and even business promotions and advertising.

The light shows range from an underwater scene, to fire, to cartoon balloons, or messages.
This isn’t your grandmother’s bowling alley… it’s electric and fast paced and according to the kids on hand Saturday, “it’s sooooooo much fun!”
The high-energy setting isn’t the only new amenity; the bowling pins are attached to a string for faster setup. It’s called bowling string pinsetters. Click HERE to read more.
Through the doorway Jason Jug is busy getting his new kitchen in order. Jug was serving hot pizza and chicken wings during Saturday’s party.
The kitchen at Jugs Pub & Grill is enormous and has a separate area for Friday fish frys and a pickup window.
Jug and Kearns have not skimped on this project, but it’s not done yet.
The gaming area still has to be finished along with the bar and restaurant. The much-anticipated question of “When is it opening?”
Both Jug and Kearns say, “When it’s ready….” Stay tuned.
