Hartford Wi – The Hartford Rotary Club and Hartford Union High School are pleased to announce Emily Gartzke and Ava Lisiecki were honored recently as Rotary Students of the Month.

The students were given special recognition for their accomplishments at the Hartford Rotary Club’s meetings during the month of April.
Emily Gartzke is the daughter of Christine and Chad Gartzke. Gartzke has participated
in National Honor Society, H-Club, Track and Field, Cross Country, Athletic Training and the
HUHS Musical Pit Orchestra at HUHS.
She is a three-time state qualifier at Solo and Ensemble, received a Jerry Award for outstanding orchestra performance and earned recognition as an AP Scholar student.
Gartzke has volunteered her time at many H-Club and National Honor Society events.
She has helped at the annual Pink Pumpkin Run, Logans Laps for Love, the Shamrock Shuffle, and Sweet Dreams Wisconsin. Gartzke also serves as a lector and religious education teacher at St. Gabriel Parish.
After graduation from HUHS, Gartzke plans to attend Marquette University and major in
Biomedical Sciences on the Pre-PA track.
Ava Lisiecki is the daughter of Gwen and Gary Lisiecki. Lisiecki has participated in Concert and Symphonic band, VBC/Concert Choir, Track and Field (Grade 10,11), Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, H-Club (Grade 12), and Student Council (Grade 10). She was also a member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (Grade 9). Lisiecki has earned regional and state awards for Solo and Ensemble.
Lisiecki has given back to the community by serving as a youth group leader at St. Gabriel Parish, singing at nursing homes and downtown Christmas caroling with the HUHS Choirs, working at Student Council blood drives and downtown Christmas decorating and helping at the annual Pink Pumpkin Run and Shamrock Shuffle.
Lisiecki plans to attend Marquette University in the fall to study Communications, Journalism and pre-law with the hope of eventually attending law school at Marquette.
