  1. I don’t buy gasoline in West Bend, although I live there. The pricing is ridiculous and many people believe there is a fix going on in town, although no one can explain it.

  2. It’s the same problem in the Ripon/Berlin area. These 2 towns consistently have prices 20¢ or more than surrounding towns and cities which makes it difficult for people that don’t ordinarily travel out of the area. I’ve gone up to Appleton and saved 40¢ a gallon just on luck because I had an appointment up there. Meanwhile, these two towns overcharge at every gas station and wring out the pockets of the unfortunate.

  3. I live in northern WI and am seeing gas prices all over the map. Stations right across the street from each other 30 cent difference. I can’t explain it.

  4. I live in Merrill wi and gas prices here are nuts, 2.89/gal. all stations raise prices in unison with kwik trip being the most high. I used to be a kwik tripper but now feel that the food prices have gotten to high along with expensive gas and the slathering hordes they became a good place to avoid. I feel a fix is going on here also

  5. Time for some investigative reporting on high (seemingly price fixed) gasoline prices in West Bend! Prices are always significantly higher than in Menomonee Falls!

  6. Kwik Trip is playing games in Marshfield, WI right now. After spending weeks around 2.79, we saw prices drop to 2.69, then 2.65. then out of nowhere the 4(!) Kwik Trips in our small community all jumped up to 2.89, with most of the other gas stations in town remaining at 2.65 and one station even dropping down to 2.59. they’re playing games and trying to get a couple extra dollars out of people. It’s very obvious.

  7. It’s against law to charge more than 3% in Wisconsin and by law anyone that request to see what they received fuel at can. Then figure out what they paying per gallon. I’m sure there’s a way to report them for price gauging

  8. I feel Kwik trip is starting to gouge thinking people need there convenience, but they will lose in the end with their $.50-$.60 price increases on sandwiches and other hotspot items

  9. I paid $2.49 in Jackson this morning before leaving for Indianapolis. West Bend and Richfield Kwik Trips were at $2.89 and $2.79 in perspective. Pricing in the West Bend area has been suspect for a long long time.

  10. It is Kwik Trip who is the culprit. They raised to 2.79 in Oshkosh and BP always follows. Others stayed at 2.61 and Marathon even lowered theirs to 2.59.

  11. around here, there is enough competition to keep prices fairly consistent between stations and prices change whenever a gas station’s tanks get refilled, depending on what the owner/manager had to pay for the new tank load to keep their profits consistent. prices vary from town to town depending on local taxes.

  12. It’s called capitalism. If you don’t like the price then buy it somewhere else. The same goes for clothes, food, entertainment…….. If enough people don’t shop there they will lower it or close down. It’s that simple.

Be happy you live in the US.

  13. Never buy gas in West Bend…that’s the best advice. And if you absolutely have to, only buy at the BP on Hwy P as they keep their prices competitive with Jackson and Richfield. Otherwise, always buy in Germantown or Fond du Lac or Madison depending on which way you are driving.
