March 15, 2019 – Washington Co. WI – Kenneth R. Baaske, 85, of Fall River, Wisconsin (Apache Junction, AZ) passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at The Meadows in Fall River, WI with the love of his family at his side.

Kenny was born August 20, 1933 in Beaver Dam, WI to Evelyn (nee Warber) and Elmer Baaske. He served our country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. Kenny was united in marriage to Helen Meinholtz in 1969. She preceded him in death in 1992 after 24 years of marriage. He later married his high school sweetheart, Audrey Nickel, at a Polka festival in 1998. They were married for 13 years before Audrey passed away in 2011. Kenny worked at Mayville Engineering for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Theresa, WI. Kenny loved: to Polka dance with Helen and Audrey, traveling, gardening, bowling, and Lake Michigan fishing. He created some of the most fascinating wood-craft projects and was an outstanding cook.

Kenny is survived by his siblings, Sherrie (Neal) Stroh of Brandon and Terry (Linda) Baaske of Fall River; step-siblings, Dolores (Phil) Oehlert, David (Connie)Wodill, and Eugene (Pat) Wodill; step-sister-in-law, Andrea Tamminga; half-sisters, Barb Peer, Deb Isaacson, and Darlene (Kevin) Hutchison; nieces, Jennifer Baaske-Lange, Nicole Baaske, and Dana Rom. He is further survived by extended family, other relatives and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Evelyn; step-siblings, Carol Jean Roche and Robert Wodill; and his beloved wives, Helen and Audrey.

Funeral Services for Kenny will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at 3 p.m at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00-2:45 p.m.

Private interment in Hustisford Cemetery, Wisconsin.
