Sept. 18, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – This weekend the Washington County Mountain Bike Team went to Nordic Mountain for its second race of the season.
The pre-ride on Saturday started with hot temps and Sunday, race day, started with rain, which delayed the races.
The weather turned and it became another perfect weekend. Sam Carlson, Larry Schilling, and Gabe Rogaczewski competed in their first race of the season and did a nice job.
Most Washington County racers took at least a minute off of their time at a course that was more difficult than last weekend.
Nick Vogel even took 10 minutes off of his finish time.
Fiona Shaw, who is in her second year of racing, got her first mountain biking podium finish and was very excited.
The team came home with four more medals. Congratulations to all racers!
