March 8, 2025 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On March 8, 2025, at approximately 4:06 a.m., a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling westbound on State Highway 23 near County Road K in the Town of Empire due to a speed violation.
The vehicle briefly pulled over but then fled westbound into the City of Fond du Lac, disregarding the deputy’s emergency lights and siren.
The deputy initiated a pursuit, during which the suspect vehicle traveled at speeds of 30 to 40 mph, running multiple red lights.
Fond du Lac Police Department officers successfully deployed Stop Stick tire deflation devices on State Highway 23 at Park Avenue. The suspect vehicle continued, striking another Stop Stick deployed by a sheriff’s deputy.
The vehicle eventually stopped on State Highway 23 at Amory Street after all four tires were deflated. The driver, a 52-year-old male from Plymouth, Wisconsin, was taken into custody without further incident.
The driver was arrested for felony fleeing and eluding and was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail. The pursuit lasted approximately 3.5 miles, and no civilians or deputies were injured. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
