Jan. 23, 2017 – CHILD NEGLECT / POSSESSION OF HEROIN / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
1200 Block of West Sunset Ridge Drive in West Bend.
On Jan. 20, 2017, at 8:59 p.m., West Bend Police responded to a residence to assist two children who reported they were unable to wake their father.
Investigating officers located a West Bend man, 34, unconscious on the floor. The man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The investigation determined the man ingested illegal drugs and became unresponsive while caring for his two children, ages 5 and 9.
The man was arrested for Child Neglect, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and placed in jail after he was released from the hospital.
The children were placed in the care of relatives.
