2 people injured in head-on crash in Town of Polk | By Sgt. Scott Hanson

July 1, 2026 – Town of Polk, Wi – On Wednesday July 1, 2026 at 12:24 p.m. the Washington County Dispatch Center received multiple  911 calls reporting a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 175 just south of Hillside Road in the  Town of Polk.

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Slinger Fire
Department, and Lifestar rescue responded to the scene.

Upon arrival of the first Deputy it was determined one of the drivers would need to be extricated from a vehicle.

Richfield medical  intercept was also requested for additional treatment for one of the drivers.

An initial investigation showed that a northbound vehicle driven by a 63-year-old Hartford resident crossed the center line of Highway 175 into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by a  46-year-old Germantown resident.

Both drivers were transported to local medical facilities with  serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Team.
