8 fire departments respond to residential fire in Town of Saukville | By Sheriff Christy Knowles

July 1, 2023 – Ozaukee County, WI – On Friday, June 30, 2023, at approximately 10:38 p.m., the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire in the 2200 block of Hwy. 33 in the Town of Saukville. Upon the first deputy’s arrival, the attached garage was fully engulfed with fire.

With the assistance of multiple fire departments, the fire was knocked down and extinguished. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no reports of injuries. The structure received extensive damage and the fire’s origin and cause are under investigation.

On Saturday, July 1, 2023, at approximately 5:20 a.m., the fire reignited and fire departments responded back to the scene to extinguish the hot spots.

Highway 33 was closed both eastbound and westbound for approximately 90 minutes during each incident.
