October 13, 2025 – Town of Kewaskum – Bow season is underway for deer hunters in Wisconsin and in the Town of Kewaskum, Doug Gonring managed to score for venison for the winter ahead.

“Finally,” said Gonring who managed to take down a 200-pound buck from 44 yards.
He took down the 8-pointer with one shot.

Gonring has had quite a few monster bucks taken off his property. In 2017 Mitch Knox of West Bend, WI took home a 20-pointer with a live weight of 212 pounds.

Archery season began September 13, 2025, and runs through January 4, 2026. The gun-deer season officially begins November 22, 2025, with the youth hunt starting October 11 – 12, 2025.
