Allenton, WI – Slinger School District is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Mike Heun as the new principal of Allenton Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year.
After posting the position in January due to the promotion of Rebecca Schneider to Assistant Superintendent, the district received a highly competitive pool of candidates. Mr. Heun rose to the top due to his extensive experience in education, exceptional leadership skills, and commitment to student success.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as the next principal at Allenton Elementary and to join the Slinger School District,” said Mr. Heun. “I am excited to work alongside the outstanding staff, students, and administration in the district, and I look forward to collaborating with families to continue the tradition of excellence at Allenton Elementary.”
Mr. Heun graduated from St. Norbert College in 1999 and has dedicated his career to education. Over the years, he has held various roles, including elementary and middle school teacher, coach for middle and high school sports, high school associate principal, and elementary principal. Most recently, he served as the elementary principal at Wilson Elementary and Wauwatosa STEM in the Wauwatosa School District, where he spent the past 13 years.
