Allenton Youth Organization celebrates 50 years | By Ron Naab

Allenton, WI – Fifty years ago, in 1973, a group of parents decided to create a summer recreational program for the kids of the Allenton Area.  This led to the creation of a slow pitch softball program for girls and boys through their senior year of high school.

The games are played Monday and Tuesday nights starting the first week in June and ending the second Saturday of August with a fun day of activities for the entire family at the Veterans Park in Allenton.

Games typically start at 6 p.m. with 50 minutes allotted per game.

Coaches and umpires are all volunteers wishing to provide a wholesome, fun summer experience for kids.
