American Companies celebrates National Apprenticeship Week (April 26-May 2) | By Christa Weindorf

West Bend, WI – National Apprenticeship Week is here, and American Companies of West Bend, Wi, would like to highlight our Carpenter Apprentice, Myles Jacobi. We worked in conjunction with Kewaskum High School’s Youth Apprenticeship Program to have Myles join the American team to pursue his career in carpentry while he still studied and graduated early at semester.

His drive and willingness to learn shine through daily on the various jobsites he works at. Over the past 6 months, he quickly immersed himself in projects and assisted with technical items such as cabinetry and framing. He has shown his drive for a hands-on career, and his enthusiasm and dedication do not go unnoticed. When asked what his favorite thing is about being part of American Companies is, he said,  “The people: since my first day here everyone has been so welcoming and great to work with.”

Myles is mentored by Field Operations Manager Dylan Berth, who was recently recognized with the Exceptional Mentor Award by CESA 6. Dylan’s dedication to teaching and leading by example continues to make a lasting impact on Myles and the entire team.

“It’s rewarding to see someone at the start of their career demonstrate such a strong work ethic,” said Dylan. Choosing to enter the trades right out of high school is a commendable decision, and Myles has already shown great potential. I look forward to supporting his continued growth and watching him succeed in the years ahead.”

Myles has quickly become a valued team member, and we eagerly anticipate seeing how his contributions in the field will evolve in the future.
