Dec. 27, 2016 – West Bend police update
OWI – 200 Block of Roosevelt Drive
On December 26, 2017, at 4:26 AM, a West Bend man, 32, reported he had been struck by a motor vehicle. The man reported his intoxicated girlfriend drove over his foot as he was attempting to prevent her from driving. The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The female driver was located at the scene and the investigating officer observed signs she was intoxicated. The 31-year-old West Bend woman failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI.
BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER 600 Block of East Decorah Road
On December 24, 2016, at 11:51 PM, West Bend officers responded to a report of a female screaming inside an apartment. Investigating officers located a 22 year old woman and a 23 year old man who had been arguing over who was going to change their infant child’s diaper. The West Bend man was intoxicated, blew a .324% in a PBT, and was arrested for violating his probation restrictions of absolute sobriety. While in custody the man was yelling and kicking at officers and then spat in one of the officer’s face. In addition to the probation violation the man was arrested for Felony Throwing/Discharging Bodily Fluids at a Peace Officer.
700 Block of South Main Street
On December 24, 2016, at 2:20 AM, a West Bend officer observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the traffic lane and striking a curb. The Officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The 25 year old Campbellsport woman failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .176% in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.
