May 18, 2026 – Dodge Co., Wi – On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Aaron Nelson in connection with the disappearance and homicide of Alexis Nelson following an extensive investigation.
The Dodge County District Attorney’s Office has formally charged Nelson with First-Degree Intentional Homicide (Wis. Stat. § 940.01(1)(a)) and Hiding a Corpse (Wis. Stat. § 940.11(2)). He is currently being held in the Dodge County Jail.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office recognizes this investigation has been difficult for Alexis Nelson’s family and many within the community.
Nelson has been missing since the spring of 2025. She was last seen in Beaver Dam, Wi.
Because this matter is now before the court, and out of respect for the family, the judicial process, and the continued integrity of the investigation, no further details or comments will be released by law enforcement at this time.
