Hartford man arrested for 4th offense OWI

May 29, 2022 – Waukesha Co., WI – At 2:16 p.m. Ryan J Whitcomb, 42, from Hartford was arrested by Wisconsin State Patrol Waukesha Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense.

A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper stopped a pickup truck on CTH F/Redford Blvd north of Interstate 94 which he had observed driving erratically, swerving outside of the travel lane and nearly striking other objects/vehicles.

Several 911 callers also reported the vehicle was driving all over the road and striking curbs.

Upon approach, the trooper detected indicators of alcohol use. The driver was arrested following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw.

The driver will be booked into the Waukesha County Jail. Initial charges include felony Operating while Intoxicated. Deputies from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department also assisted with the traffic stop.

“Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”
