December 3, 2021 – Hartford, Wi – James C. “Jim” “Beaver Hat” Schwickert found peace on November 30, 2021, age 78 at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Jim was a born in Hartford, Wisconsin on October 22, 1943, to the late James and Hazel (nee Draeger) Schwickert. Beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (nee Pauli) Schwickert. Loving dad of James “Jimmy” (Ashley) Schwickert and the late Clinton.
Cherished brother of Jeanne (Jim) Fellenz, Judie (Dick) Hensley, John Schwickert and the late Pamela Saleske. Further surviving is sister-in-laws Mary Ann Nelson and Helen (Gordon) Wettstein. He is the dear uncle of nieces and nephews and also survived by his special companion, his dog Mucky.
Jim worked for P.L. Gehl Memorial Company in Hartford, was a proud Vietnam Veteran, long time member of the VFW Post for over 48 years and a co-founder of the Buckskinners Encampment of Hartford.
A visitation will take place at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, Wisconsin on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 9 a.m. until time of vigil service at 11 a.m. Interment to take place privately at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Wisconsin.
