Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says his team is willing to retry Dennis Brantner for the murder of Berit Beck, but no official decision has been made. Toney says the prosecution and investigative teams are ready to retry the case.
But Toney says there are others to consider first; they have to evaluate the court record and consult with the Beck family before any decisions are made).
Last Wednesday a Fond du Lac County jury was dismissed after they were unable to reach a verdict in the Brantner Trial that followed a 2 ½ week trial. A status conference will be scheduled in the case.
