One of the pictures in a photo gallery of Allan’s life, tucked just inside the vestibule of the church, included a framed picture of Allan’s signature. It was his name, written in cursive and located in the tower at the Old County Courthouse across the street from the church. Adam Kieckhafer said they often joked with his grandfather that he defaced government property when he was 12 years old.
