March 8, 2025 – West Bend, WI – John Kenneth Marx (October 2, 1961 – February 27,2025, aged 63 years) went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ after a long, valiant fight against Acinic Cell Carcinoma.
John was a Local 8 Bricklayer and finished his career with CD Smith in 2021. He loved that all three of his kids went on to find jobs in the trades.
He was proud to pass his passion for masonry on to his oldest son, Josh, and he made sure to give Cassy the tools to help her navigate being a woman in the trades. His advice was valuable to Jordan as he navigated his career path as a union sheet metal foreman.
John was an avid hunter, passing the love of hunting down to his grandson, Ben. He enjoyed splitting wood, loved the Green Bay Packers and traveling with his wife.
He loved his family and friends and had the most good-natured and easygoing personality. Anyone who met him, even just briefly, always left as a friend.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Kenneth Marx, a sister in infancy, Jo-Ellen, and a nephew, Joseph.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda, his children, Joshua (Kristin) Marx, Cassandra (Jason) Imp and Jordan (Amanda) Marx. He also leaves behind four grandchildren who were the lights of his life (Benjamin, Waylon, Macy and Cameron) and his two loyal, four-legged companions, Mossy and Bella. Further survived by his siblings Jodi Marx, Jeff (Anita) Marx and Jerry (Lori) Marx. and many other loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and many friends.
It’s hard to imagine the impact you have on this world, but John had a major one. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
The family would like to thank Zilber Hospice for the care provided to John in his final hours.
