October 12, 2022 – Dodge Co., WI – Shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, dispatchers from Dodge County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call reporting a child had been struck by a vehicle on private property in rural Beaver Dam.
An officer from the Town of Beaver Dam Police Department, multiple deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, along with Beaver Dam Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene.
The child was transported to an area hospital where Flight for Life was responding for possible transport of the patient. However, the 4-year-old child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The incident remains under investigation, being led by the Crash Investigation Team for the sheriff’s office. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office extends our sincerest condolences to the family of the child, and our support to our own employees and all first responders who responded to this tragic incident.
