“Opening Murphy & Prachthauser’s West Bend satellite location is near and dear to my heart because I not only grew up in the community and attended West Bend West High School, but it is also now where I reside with my husband and daughter,” said Hockers.
“I am committed to continuing to serve and volunteer within the community in many capacities, and I am confident this location will be very convenient for our Washington County clients.”
Hockers graduated valedictorian from West Bend West High School and received a Ziegler Family Foundation Scholarship. After high school, she participated in Marquette University’s Pre-Law Scholars program. After finishing undergraduate studies and law school in six years, she moved back to West Bend and currently serves on the board of directors for the West Bend Community and Alumni Scholarship Foundation (COLUMNS).
Legal resources offered in the new office include experienced counsel specializing in personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, and more. Additionally, two of Murphy & Prachthauser’s personal injury attorneys are residents and longtime contributors within the community.
Since coming to town, Murphy & Prachthauser has been active in the community especially during the summer when it gives away hundreds of lifejackets during the Saturday Farmers’ Market.
Murphy and Prachthauser Personal Injury Attorney Thadd Llaurado is also a resident of West Bend and a member of the board of directors for the Museum of Wisconsin Art.

Our new location was selected because we are inspired by the resurgence of dynamic businesses, restaurants, and shops in the downtown area and are focused on becoming an integral part of the community,” said Thadd.
Michelle added, “Our team is passionate about serving the greater Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington County communities, and opening an additional office is another way we can continue to expand on and share helpful resources.”
