Courtney Rummel of West Bend (12-13 year old division) finished in 3rd place in the Rail Jam and took 2nd place in Slopestyle at the USASA Nationals in Copper Mountain, Colorado.
Last year Rummel took 3rd in Slopestyle.
“The fact our local kids can compete and actually beat these other athletes that were raised in the mountains and snowboard eight months out of the year and go to special schools that focus on snowboarding half the day is amazing,” said parent John Rummel.
“2 days and 2 medals at USASA NATIONALS in Copper Mountain, CO. Congratulations to Courtney on her SILVER medal in Slopestyle (rail and jump course) and a BRONZE medal last night in Rail Jam!
We are so incredibly proud of her for competing at this level with these incredible athletes! A special thanks to our amazing coaches, Les Moise Snowboards, Never Summer, and our winter family for all the love and support!
