Woman injured in crash in neighboring Dodge County

April 17, 2021 – Dodge Co., Wi – On Saturday, April 17, 2021 at approximately 8:27 a.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on CTH A at the intersection with CTH C in the Township of Fox Lake, Dodge County.

 

Initial investigation shows a Jeep was traveling west on CTH C approaching a stop sign at the intersection with CTH A.   A 2017 Freightliner (truck tractor) towing an enclosed box trailer was traveling north on CTH A approaching the intersection with CTH C.  The Jeep failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by the Freightliner.

 

The 77-year-old driver (sole occupant) of the Jeep was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital where she was immediately flown by MedFlight helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison.  The 48-year-old driver (sole occupant) of the Freightliner was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.  The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fox Lake Fire Department, Fox Lake EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, MedFlight, DCERT and the Dodge County Highway Department.  CTH A was closed for approximately 5 hours as the scene was being cleared and the crash was being investigated.
