3 children injured in crash in neighboring Dodge County | By Dodge Co. Sheriff

August 14, 2021 – Dodge Co., WI – On Friday August 13, 2021 at approximately 4:47 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on STHY 16/60 at the intersection of County Highway TT in the Township of Elba, Dodge County.

Initial investigation shows that a 2006 Subaru and a 2021 Mitsubishi collided in the intersection. At this time an investigation into the manner and cause of the collision is ongoing.

The 40-year-old driver (sole occupant) of the Mitsubishi suffered serious injuries and was transported to UW Hospital in Madison via ambulance.

The Subaru had 4 occupants. The 31-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to UW Hospital in Madison via Medflight.

The 10-year-old front seat passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to UW Hospital in Madison via Medflight.

A 4-year-old, and a 5-year-old rear seat passenger suffered minor injuries.

They were both transported to UW Hospital by Sheriff Schmidt where they were reunited with family.  

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s OfficeCrash Investigation Team. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Columbus Police Department, Waterloo EMS, Watertown EMS, Medflight, Beaver Dam EMS, Lifestar, Columbus Fire, and DCERT.
