OBITUARY | David E. Perkins, 59, of Huntsville, AL

August 3, 2023 – Washington Co., WI – David Edwin Perkins of Huntsville, AL was born to eternal life on July 28, 2023, at the age of 59.

He was born in Milwaukee, WI to Almer and Marguerite (Wagner) Perkins. He grew up in
Wauwatosa, graduating from Wauwatosa East High School in 1982, and continued his
education at UW-Milwaukee where he majored in History and excelled in the Army ROTC
program.

After graduating from college, he served in the U.S. Army at Fort Wainwright in
Fairbanks, AK. After the service, he had several different jobs in the civilian world as a technical writer and project manager.

He worked at Case IH, Harley Davidson, Waukesha Engine, Oshkosh Truck, Navistar and most recently as Senior Operations/Logistics Systems Engineer at Aerodyne Industries LLC working on the Jacobs Space Exploration Group contract. He spent his free time enjoying his hobby of building model railroad layouts, as well as taking pictures of trains and train depots.

David is survived by his father Almer Perkins of Hartford, WI, sister Ann Conroy (Paul WIlson) of Hartford, WI, nephews Jim Fabry of Los Angeles, CA and Zach (Ashley) Fabry of Mason, MI and his beloved cat Isabella. He is further survived by relatives in California, Minnesota, Texas, Florida and Cape Cod, MA. In heaven he joins his mother Marguerite Perkins and brother-in-law Kevin Conroy Jr.

Donations in his memory to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

David will be remembered for his warm smile, caring heart, lifelong friendships and his amazing storytelling ability.

A Memorial Service will be held at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford, WI on Saturday
September 23, 2023. The family will welcome visitors from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. with a time for storytelling and fellowship from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
