Name released following death investigation at Ledge Co. Park in Dodge Co. | By Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt

June 16, 2025Dodge Co., WI – Over the weekend the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department was investigating the death of a 21-year-old man who fell to his death at Ledge County Park. Today the Sheriff said the individual who died was identified as Felix Mata Eusebio, 21, of Mayville.

According to the Sheriff the investigation so far indicated the man was walking in the park with two other companions and stopped to take a photo on the top of a rocky ledge. The man lost his footing and fell an estimated distance of 40+ feet.
Alcohol use was a factor in this incident.
The incident remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Dodge County Medical Examiner.

June 14, 2025 – Dodge Co., WI – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 21-year-old Mayville man at Ledge County Park.

At about 12:30 pm, Saturday, June 14, 2025, our agency received a report that a male had fallen off some rocks and needed medical help.


Our first arriving deputy and first responders located the man on the side of the ledge, not breathing and with a serious head injury.

Accessing and treating the patient was difficult due to the steep terrain, however CPR was performed, and an AED was applied to the patient.

 Paramedics and a medical helicopter also responded to the park; however, the patient was pronounced dead at the scene and was not transported.  The patient was in the company of two other individuals at the time of the incident.

The death remains under investigation.  Agencies responding to and assisting the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office included Horicon Police Department, Horicon EMS and Fire Department, Kekoskee First Responders and Fire Department, Juneau EMS, Beaver Dam Fire and Paramedics, Flight For Life, and the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
