Washington Co., WI – You couldn’t have asked for a better day as thousands turned out for the 37th annual Washington County Breakfast on the Farm. Maple Woods Dairy Farm was on display and the Peters family was the gracious host.
Thanks to the hardworking crew of volunteers who helped prepare breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, applesauce, and plenty of chocolate milk and cheese curds as June is Dairy Month.
There was plenty of dairy at the farm as well with root beer floats and strawberry sundaes.
Scholarships were presented to three applicants including Lily Siegmann, Noah McMeeken, and Isabelle Haeft. The scholarships recognize excellent leadership and involvement in the agriculture industry.
The barrel train was a favorite for the kids as well as the archery display and petting zoo.
One of the treasured little finds on the farm was the headstone to Mud the Toad. “Loved to hop.”
