November 1, 2025 – Dodge Co., Wi -As the iconic Wisconsin white-tailed deer enter mating season, known as the “rut,” the Dodge County sheriff’s office has valuable insights to share. Deputies frequently respond to car-deer accidents, giving a unique perspective on the peak days for deer activity.
By staying vigilant while driving, you can help reduce the risk of accidents.
Throughout this rut season, the Dodge Co. Sheriff will provide daily updates on the number of car-deer accidents reported in the last 24 hours. Last year, the highest number of incidents occurred October 30, with nine reported accidents.
