REAL ESTATE | VIDEO | Demolition of St. Lucas Church in Kewaskum, Wi built in 1913

May 30, 2026Kewaskum, Wi – St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1420 Parkview Drive in Kewaskum, Wi, is being razed. The demolition of the church has been underway the past few months as church pews were removed, along with stained glass and hardwood trim that dates to 1913.

Over the past two days crews have pulled down the north side of the red-brick building. Now open to the elements the interior of the church looks like it was hit by a bomb.  The beam along the roofline has been exposed. Insulation blows in the wind like streamers from the ceiling. Religious paintings that border the altar are visible from the parking lot.

There’s been a consensus from the community on social media regarding the loss of history and sadness.

The red brick church was built for over $10,550. The church featured two towers, an arched entryway, and held a capacity of 300 to 400 parishioners.
