Downtown West Bend Theatre broken into

May 16, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Somebody broke into the downtown West Bend Theatre, 125 S. Main Street.

West Bend Police confirm they were at the theatre today following up on a complaint.

The theatre is currently vacant. A neighbor said it appeared toilet paper and some tickets were strewn about.

Police said it appeared someone entered through the back. There is a stairwell that went up to the pedestrian bridge, although that bridge was removed last week. The entryway remains but it was reportedly locked.

The theatre has had items reported missing including some vintage signs that hung over the bathroom doors. One featured a silhouette of a woman on a fainting couch.

There’s also been some vandalism to the floor and decorative walls on the lower level.

Police are working on releasing more information.
