August 7, 2026 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On Friday, August 7, 2026, at approximately 2:09 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received an emergency call from an employee at the Saputo Cheese Factory located in the Town of Alto, Fond du Lac County. The caller reported a medical emergency involving a fellow employee inside the facility.
LifeStar Emergency Medical Services and deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located a 43-year-old male from Fond du Lac who was deceased.
The cause of death remains undetermined at this time pending the results of an autopsy.
Preliminary investigation indicates the death is likely the result of a medical event that occurred while the individual was working.
This incident remains under investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
