Dec. 10, 2018 – Dodge Co., WI – At 6:53 a.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018 the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one-vehicle rollover crash on State Highway 16/60 near Oxbow Road.
Deputies arrived on scene along with Columbus Police, Fire, and EMS and located a 38-year-old male from Madison who needed to be extricated from the crash.
He was transported to UW Hospital in Madison for life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigation shows a 2014 Lexus was eastbound on State Highway 16/60 and left the highway on a curve, struck a culvert, and began to roll.
While the crash is still under investigation, it is initially believed speed and alcohol may have been factors in this crash.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was notified at 7:35 p.m. on December 9, 2018 that the driver had passed away at UW Hospital due to injuries suffered in the crash.
The name is being withheld at this time and will not be released until at least 9:00 a.m. on December 11, 2018.
