Lomira woman killed in single-vehicle rollover crash in the Town of Wayne, WI | By Washington Co. Sheriff

May 14, 2026 – Town of Wayne, Wi – On May 14, 2026 at 3:44 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center took multiple 911 calls of a single vehicle roll-over crash on Hwy 28 east of I-41 near Farm Lane in the Town of Wayne.

Witnesses located a single unresponsive female occupant and attempted life-saving measures with the assistance
of the on-line dispatchers. Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Kohlsville First Responders and
West Bend Rescue were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival of First Responders, life saving measures were continued, however the driver and sole occupant, a female in her 80’s from Lomira was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The initial investigation showed that the vehicle was eastbound on Hwy 28 when it failed to negotiate the curve and overturned into a farm field.

The Washington County Sheriffs Office Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene for additional documentation and
investigation. A portion of Hwy 28 was shut down for approximately 4 hours for the response, documentation and clean up efforts.

The incident remains open at this time.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Washington
County Medical Examiners Office.
