In District 3, incumbent Kyle Sikora has filed non-candidacy papers and no
one has filed papers yet. If nobody runs in District 3, then it will come down to a write-in campaign with anyone interested in running as a write-in should fill out paperwork declaring their interest in accepting the nomination.

If nobody declares candidacy under the write-in option, then any eligible resident can be counted for right-ins.

Finally, if no one runs, and no one is written in, then the seat will become unfilled, and the process goes to an application process and appointment by the Council.

Anyone interested in taking out papers to run in any district need to get their official papers submitted with at least 20 signatures of residents in that district by no later than Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 5 p.m. at Hartford City Hall.

The council seats will be on the April 4, 2023 Spring Election.
