August 28, 2026 – Fillmore, Wi – Fillmore Fire Department is on scene of a large barn fire on Meadow Road, just off CTH A and east of Cheeseville.
Neighbors say the fire started around 7 a.m. Motorists said they could see huge plume of black smoke as they took their kids to school.
Multiple departments were called to the scene including St. Lawrence, Slinger, Richfield, Newburg, Kewaskum, Allenton. More departments being confirmed at this time.
Neighbors report nobody was injured. A couple heifers were reportedly lost in the fire but majority of animals got out safe. The barn is reportedly a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
