Fire damages bowling alley in Town of Eldorado | By Fond du Lac Co. Sgt. Victor Schneider

May 6, 2026 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at approximately 4:28 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call from a passerby reporting a fire on the south side of Generation Lanes, located at N7676 County Highway C in the Town of Eldorado, Fond du Lac County. An additional caller advised a gas meter may be involved.

Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Eldorado Fire Department, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, emergency personnel observed active flames coming from the south side of the building and the gas meter area. Due to the severity of the fire, additional emergency resources were requested to assist at the scene.

The fire was ultimately extinguished. Damage was sustained to the south side of the structure, the kitchen area, and portions of the roof. Due to the quick actions of responding fire departments, the fire was contained to the southeast corner of the building with majority of the building’s interior and exterior remaining undamaged.

A bartender and three patrons were able to safely evacuate the building prior to emergency personnel arriving on scene. No injuries were reported by citizens or emergency responders.

The Eldorado Fire Department and Eldorado First Responders were assisted by the Lamartine Fire Department, Rosendale Fire Department, Van Dyne Fire Department, North Fond du Lac Ambulance, and Alliant Energy.

The fire remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
